Alleppey the Venice of the east has a large network of canals the meander through the town. Alleppey is famous for its backwater resources boat race, country boats, houseboats, coir product and different types of fishes. Alleppey was the place where traders from across the seven seas came in search of black gold & souvenirs that are why it is known as “Venice of the east” .Alleppey remain one of the major centers for backwater boat trip. Alleppey is also home to kuttandu, the “rice bowl of kerala” one of the very few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Kuttanadu is the most beautiful back water region of kerala. Kuttandu is the place where most of the snake boat races are conducted & a majority of the rice boat & houseboat cruises are scheduled. A host of boat race is held here during the harvest season (between July & September). In Alleppey the life resolves around water. Children learn to swim before they walk. Details of the package:- 

Day: 1 Pick up from Alleppey / Ernakulam Railway station or Cochin Airport transfer to the resort or home stay for refreshing (depends on guest arrival), after refreshing proceed  to narrow canal cruise through a country boat (3 hrs) drop to the houseboat for lunch.  Houseboat cruising through:- 

Vilakumaram thodu, irubanam thodu, minapally kayal launch break  muttel thodu munattumuram, reaches Champakulam. Visit Champakulam Church and the famous snake boat Champakulam Chundan. Continues through Pullagady, over night stay kanijipadam.

Day: 2 after breakfast cruise through C-Block, Kuppapuram and Azhikkal Canal to reach Alleppey at 09:30 hours.

Check out from Houseboat at Alleppey with ever lasting memories of houseboat cruise to cherish. The car will pick & drop to an ayurvedic centre for message & follow that fortune telling is going on. 

After the lunch, sight seeing in Alleppey or Ernakulam depends on guest departure.
